Who's daughter is this?? Okay, okay, so I have a chip off the "old block!" She is a ham. She loves it when you clap for her, make faces and pretty much ooh and ahhh over her. She can get quite upset if all the attention is not fully on her. I am hoping we can fix this before she is able to speak in full sentences. The 2 things she loves the most are her daddy and food. She actually cries if you are eating and not feeding her too. We were checking her in at church the other day and the lady behind the counter was eating a muffin. She looked at it, pointed and said, "Mmmm." A note came home from her school yesterday that said, "Lucy loved her lunch! She ate all the CHEESE first." 

Now, that's my girl!

Believing God

I have just started a bible study by Beth Moore called Believing God. It's really good! I read Isaiah 40:21-31 tonight and it hit me hard.  

Read it really fast and then read below.

Whoah, huh? It's like, "Hello? do you not know who God is? do you not believe He can do what He says He can?"  It's so much harder not to believe God yet that's what we constantly do?! Not believing God is worrying, impatience, reluctancy, control mindset, etc. We make ourselves crazy trying to figure out life, problem solving, and basically trying to control things we have no control over? -YEt God tells us not to forget who He is. He understands. He knows our problems and our hurts. He knows our desires and our stresses. He KNOWS. So why don't we?

I am so excited about this year's theme! We have a great speaker and an exciting week planned! It's all about our purpose and place in God's World. Here is the basis of all we will learn:

J = We are all on a JOURNEY and we must choose which path to take.

U= God wants us to UNDO our current ways and

M= MIRROR Jesus in all we do so that we can

P= Participate in God's big plan and make a difference for His glory!!

one change of messy clothes. There will be a place for

them to lay down if the get tired!

Figuring it all out

I decided to start blogging. Mostly because I want to be able to talk to all my friends from TCABC and keep everyone posted on all the kool stuf that 's going on in KID UNIVERSE. So I'll start by reminding everyone that we are going to CAMP JUMP: going vertical, in June 2008. You don't want to miss out! Last year was, shall I say, completely awesome and there was plenty of competition and messy games.( I'm talking covered in chocalete syrup with a cherry on top, kind off messy.) Of course the worship services were the best part and get this...SYMON is coming back! Sweet Dubers! Dont miss out.  Call me or email me at the church office for more details.
